Club membership runs from January 1st until December 31st and requires compulsory BMFA membership. This includes public liability insurance up to £25 million.

New Members
Basingstoke Model Aero Club welcomes enquiries about membership. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced flier, all are welcome at BMAC. Beginners will find a wealth of knowledge and experience to help them learn, and the more advanced can just enjoy our superb flying site.
Before applying for membership, please read our Rules and Club Constitution via the links at the top of the page. Also, if possible, please visit our flying site before applying. There are people there most days if the weather is OK.
We do have strong safety regulations, which are necessary to keep our hobby and each other, safe and to respect our neighbours. These are contained in the Club Rules.
CAA Registration
Since January 2020 our model flying is subject to the legal requirement for registration with the CAA and we are required to display the registration number on each model. The best way to do this is to complete the BMFA on-line Registration Competency Certificate (RCC) test and to pay the CAA fee (currently £10.33) together with your BMAC and BMFA membership fee.
It is a Club rule that all Members must be registered with the CAA.
How To Join
We have recently changed our application process.We now strongly encourage potential Members to come to the flying site and meet us before applying. This will give you a chance to see the facility and meet other Members so that you can decide whether the Club would be appropriate for your needs.
Once you have done this, please submit an application using this LINK.
Once you have applied, your application will be considered by the Committee and you will receive an e-mail. Once offered a place, you will receive the details of the payment amount and method of payment. The offer will remain valid for one month. If the Memberhip is full, you will be placed on the waiting list and informed accordingly.
At present (December 2023) we are full but please submit your application form and we will contact you early in the new year with availability.
